Squalor and smoke’s not your style.

I’m currently in a post-booking-an-adventure giddy frame of mind. For the next few days I’ll be wishing away March, April and May just so I can tell Reading to FUCK OFF and get my behind on a train and go exploring. The destination is pretty predictable – Scotland – but it genuinely is my favourite place to be in the world.

I’ve been there on city breaks with my very best girlfriends, and spent long weekends tucked away in log cabins in the mountains. This time I’ll be on a backpacking tour across the Highlands, and over to the Isle of Skye with my very good friend Nicola. I’m ridiculously excited!

As if that wasn’t excellent enough, I’ve got a B&S gig the night before we leave, so it’s a given that I’ll be insufferable. Gleeful from what should be an amazing evening, giddy about adventuring and content in the knowledge that I’ll be just about to fall in love with the country all over again.

More importantly, there will be SQUARE SAUSAGE.
